This value can be decisive in the choice of players for a specific match, but have no bearing at all on the long term development of the player. Form fluctuates slowly in the direction of the arrow next to the form value. This arrow will slowly tilt to take the form value to decent. An exception to this is the weekly form update where a number of players randomly get their form arrow tilted upwards or downwards. Check the form table for details on how much form influences the skill of a player.
